Biography

Eddie Olin (UK, 1994) is a furniture designer and metal fabrication specialist living and working in London. Eddie’s personal work focuses around precision machined metal furniture, where he tries to present the beauty and unique character of machine tooling and engineering techniques. Much of his influence into material finishing is gained from extensive research and investment into metal working machinery. Discovering often overlooked visuals which a machine can produce (which in industry have very specific purposes) but aren’t usually highlighted for their aesthetic value. Alongside his personal work Eddie is constantly working on private commissions, both for residential and commercial spaces. All works being produced to the highest standard from his private engineering workshop. Using the expertise he has gained in metal fabrication Eddie also works closely with a select number of architecture and interior design firms. Here he acts as a design consultant to help visually develop a concept, while also working out the feasibility of a project to see if a design has any practical difficulties which need to be overcome.
